What is the Sarah Simpson Center?

Sarah Simpson Professional Development Technology Center (SSPDTC) is located at 801 Tipton Avenue, Knoxville, TN  37920.

The facility is designed to host meetings and learning events that are relevant to Knox County Schools.

It has a variety of spaces:  Conference rooms, classrooms, and a Great Room for large groups.

What types of events are held at SSPDTC?

SSPDTC is primarliy used for adult learning activities.  Professional learning, department meetings, and administrative meetings make up most of the events at the site.

SSPDTC is also used for testing for specific student groups.

The Sarah Simpson Center holds the Knox Counth Museum of Education and the KCS Veteran's wall.

How is space reserved at SSPDTC?

Internal KCS users with Facilitron accounts can request space reservations using the Facilitron system.

Internal KCS users who do not have a Facilitron account can contact the Center at:

865-579-8264 OR

professional.development@knoxschools.org.

External users who are registered with Facilitron can also request reservations through the Facilitron system.

 

 
 

Where are SSPDTC scheduled events published?

Scheduled event details can be viewed at www.facilitron.com.  

Attendees for scheduled events can locate the details for their specific events through any email confirmations that were provided by the event's organizer or in Frontline (if the event registration was held in Frontline).
