The Director of Schools directs the administration in order to manage the district and to facilitate the
implementation of a quality educational program in accordance with Board of Education policies.
Specific goals and objectives are to:
- Manage the system’s various resources effectively and efficiently.
- Provide professional advice and counsel to the Board and to advisory groups established by Board action.
- Ensure effective learning programs by:
- Keeping abreast of current educational developments;
- Arranging for staff development;
- Coordinating efforts to improve learning programs, facilities, equipment, and materials using best practices and making data-driven decisions;
- Providing access to the decision-making process to staff, students, parents, and others.
