The Director of Schools directs the administration in order to manage the district and to facilitate the
implementation of a quality educational program in accordance with Board of Education policies.

Specific goals and objectives are to:

  1. Manage the system’s various resources effectively and efficiently.
  2. Provide professional advice and counsel to the Board and to advisory groups established by Board action.
  3. Ensure effective learning programs by:
    1. Keeping abreast of current educational developments;
    2. Arranging for staff development;
    3. Coordinating efforts to improve learning programs, facilities, equipment, and materials using best practices and making data-driven decisions;
    4. Providing access to the decision-making process to staff, students, parents, and others.
