The Board shall provide access to a free appropriate public education to all children with disabilities ages
3-21, inclusive, residing within the jurisdiction of the school system. The plan for implementation of
appropriate instruction and special education services shall be in accordance with the current Rules,
Regulations, and Minimum Standards of the State Board of Education, and state and federal law.
The Board shall develop and periodically update a local plan for providing special education services for
students with disabilities. Specifically, the Board assures that:
- All students with disabilities living within the school district have available to them a free,
appropriate public education with special education and related services designed to meet their
unique needs provided in the least restrictive environment. - The provision of educational services will comply with procedural safeguards required by state
and federal law.
