Build a Module

Modules can connect learning activities and build students’ schema for the “big ideas”,  topics, or units.  A Module is a grouping of Canvas components such as Pages, Assignments, Quizzes, or URLs to other Websites such as YouTube Videos or Google Apps placed in order as the teacher sees fit.

In a Summer Course, create a module and name it.

• Click Modules on the Left Menu
• Click the +Module
• Give your module a name and click Add Module

Add a content page, a discussion topic, an assignment, or a quiz to this module.  

Publish the module and its components.  

You can adjust who sees the Module and how long it is available.  The default is Everyone and the term length.  You can also set the module to require students to complete all of the components in sequential order.
