Last two features I'm going to share with you about communicating with students.
First is in the inbox. Now you can message any student in any course that you are connected with and so you would just select the inbox here on the left-hand side and then you can actually as the teacher filter what you have depending on your various courses. But over here on the right-hand side I want to select because I'm gonna write a new note a new message once I select this. Then I get to select the course and you can favorite courses and things like that. But you can see these are my courses that live on my dashboard then I can make a decision here as to who of that group join everybody. Do I want just the teachers or do I want just the students. And so in this case I want to message everyone and I'm just gonna type in reminder of meeting and I want to alert them that we well meet in Microsoft teams. And then I have already gone into my Microsoft teams meeting and maybe added the link here and then I can press send. That's all you have to do in order to send this.
Besides using the inbox for messaging the other item you might want to do is from within the course, actually make an announcement. And so we will select to go directly into the course and then you can either choose here under announcements or on the right-hand side. Either one will get you into the announcements and then just like we did with people. If you're in the announcements you may have to hit the blue plus announcement button but we can say we will check in on Mondays in Microsoft teens at nine o'clock a.m. I do have the link here to our team meeting so I had copied and pasted that right there and then I'm just gonna say join our meeting. With that done that is now saving. Everything you can make choices of if you need to add an attachment whether you want to wait and allow that to come in at a later date and a delayed time and date. Whether you want this to act as if people can make comments to the post, allow linking. This functions a lot similar to a discussion board. Then you blue button save it you will notice that now this information will show up for students. When they come in and they look on their dashboard you'll now notice there's a little announcement icon like a little megaphone there and then when a student would come in they would be able to click on the announcements to be able to see the actual reminder here.
So this is how you can communicate either inbox or announcements. Hope that helps!
