hello again and in this video I'm going to show you how to make announcements in canvas.

So occasionally you'll want to put out information quickly for your entire class to see and you can really do this in announcements. So you can see once again that I'm in the summer course that I have made. I'm going to click into announcements and to create a new announcement. I'm just going to click add announcement and then here I can put my topic or title and then I can have the particulars of what I need them to do. Please respond A or B ok. So I can post this to all sections. I can post this to certain people and then I can and I can include a file if I want to or a picture if I want to some kind of an attachment. I can also do so by inserting media through here just like you would on a normal assignment. You can delay posting on this and post it at a certain time.

You can allow for any of your students to comment on it and then you can also say that they must post before seeing replies. and then you can also enable a podcast feed and allow liking. I allow liking and so that way they can see I can see that they got the message. Ok and then when I'm done I want to do is save and that will put that out there, or at least it should. Yeah and there we go.  And so now I have a beloved announcement. I'm gonna click into the announcement just make sure. Okay and you can mark it read, delete it, open to comment, send it to someone, copy it share to Commons, all that good stuff.

And that is a quick and easy way to make an assignment. Happy canvassing!
