One of the newest features on canvas is direct share. In this video we'll show you how to use direct share on your canvas course.

So there's two things that direct share can do. With direct share you can instantly copy something to another course that you are a teacher in or you can send something directly to another teacher or another canvas user. So I'm gonna look at this page and first I'm going to show you how to share it to another course that you own. So I'm gonna click on the ellipses in the right corner to share this page with another course. So I'm gonna click copy to and then I'm going to click on the course that I want to copy this page to. So I'll type it in, and give canvas time to search for that course, and then I'll click on the course, and I'll put the module that I want to place this page in, and then I'll choose where in the module I want this page to go, and then I click copy, and you'll see if you go to that course and go to that module the content has imported.

Now I'll show you how to send to another user so I'm going to click on the ellipses again, and I simply click send to, and then I start typing the user's name. And when I find my user I click. And I could send to another user. And then I hit Send. When those users log in on their picture they'll see a little one (1) and when they click on their picture they'll be able to instantly import whatever I sent them into the course.

This is the direct share feature for canvas
