Hi, in this video, we're going to show you how to share a module or a course to Commons, as well as import a module or course from Commons.

First, it's crucial to ensure that the module or course you want to share is published. Let's start by selecting the module or course. I'll use my French 1 course as an example. I'll navigate to the Modules section, where I have my "Who am I" module. To share this to Commons, I'll click on the three dots icon next to the module. As it's already published (indicated by the green color), I can proceed to share it to Commons. When sharing to Commons, I have to choose who I want to share it with. In this case, I'll select "All of Knox County Schools". Then, I'll specify the copyright status, which I'll set to "Public Domain" since I've created most of the materials myself. Next, I'll provide a title for the module, such as "Who am I French 1 Module", and a brief description explaining its content. I can also choose an image to accompany the module. After specifying the grade levels, I'll click "Share". Once shared, the module will be reviewed and vetted, which usually takes 15-30 minutes.

Now, let's discuss importing a module from Commons. I'll go back to my dashboard and navigate to Settings, then click "Share to Commons" again. This time, I'll choose to share the entire French 1 course. Similarly, I'll select the audience, set the copyright status, provide a title and description, choose an image, and specify grade levels. Then, I'll click "Share". Once shared, the course will also undergo a review process. Afterward, it can be imported into other courses from Commons. Alternatively, I can import specific modules from Commons into my courses. I'll go to the Modules section of a course, click "Import", and select the desired module from Commons. After choosing the course to import into, I'll click "Import". Finally, I'll reiterate the importance of patience, as the review process may take some time.
