Another little bit of canvas learning here on how to offer feedback on discussions.
We're gonna go directly into our KCS Connect 101 course and remember right here our students cannot see most of these items but you can as the teacher. We're gonna head into modules and the little red backpack reminder means this is a task something that our students are going to be doing. Since we're working on discussion boards we're gonna skip one point five and head right on in here to one point seven because that's our first discussion board. And as you start looking at it you will begin to notice once it loads that some of these items here have blue circles the blue circle means that you as the teacher have not yet read it. As you have read it you can unselect it or typically the first time you go through it does automatically do that. I have already been in and for purposes of this video I have three checked them or refilled them you can in this one post lights and so all you do is click the thumb and others that are reading along can make likes as well.
Additionally you can reply so if there's something that you read that kind of really sparks your thinking more you just click the little reply button immediately underneath and you can make another statement there to kind of either spur. The thinking forward etc and we have one more which is the next button over this was though imagine if statements for faculty and again we can scroll through those and read them. Once I've read them I can and select them to mark the most-read which means they are now complete. You notice on this one there is no like feature because that is a choice for the teacher to select when they set this up. It does mention up here that if you would like to copy and paste all these responses into a word cloud just as you're thinking through this is another great way to make visible our thinking.
