Afternoon everyone, I'm excited to share with you about how Microsoft teams will integrate into Canvas.

What it's going to allow our students to do is to simply click on a link that's embedded in canvas that will take them immediately to a Microsoft team's meeting. So you could think of that synchronous learning piece where you're hosting your virtual office hours students would be able to click one link in canvas to get there. So what I'd like to do is show you how to set that up probably one of the easiest ways would be to set up an announcement in your course. Over here you would hit add announcement there's a variety of different ways you could title this but you could just say ask the teacher and then put week. We could indicate to students please click on the link below in order to visit virtually with your teacher and ask questions.

So here we go. We're going to click right here on the a little ellipses and it's this one that looks like a little outlet plug and then we're gonna click on Microsoft teams meeting. From here if you're not signed into Microsoft teams it may prompt you to do so. So now we're gonna hit create meeting link, we'll go ahead and call it virtual check-in, and we'll select what date. We'll do it for 26th at 10:00 a.m. We'll say that we're gonna stay on for an hour and host it until 11:00 a.m. and we're gonna hit create.

Now at this point it looks like you're done but do not hit the X. Scroll down and hit copy and then it is posted directly into your announcement. The good thing about an announcement is that it's also gonna send a message to the students letting them know that they have an announcement. And so now we're gonna hit save and then all students will have to do is to click on that link and it will take them directly to the meeting that will start at e on the 26th at 11:00.

Have a great day everyone!
