Welcome to your next session in your Canvas overview. Today, we're going to set up some Canvas notifications. This is really important because when you're in a class, you want to be quickly notified. Often, when you haven't checked your email or Canvas for a while, it's nice to get a text or email at 6 o'clock at night reminding you about an assignment due that night. So, let's get started.

First, open up your account settings in a new tab. Then, navigate to the notifications section. Here, you'll find a list of all the notification options available to you. You can choose when and how you want to be notified about various events.

To ensure that your contact information is correct, go back to your account settings and update your contact methods. You can add your email address or phone number here. Don't worry, your teachers won't have access to this information.

Once you've set up your notifications, make sure everything is ready to go by scrolling down and reviewing your settings. This will help you stay organized and on top of your coursework.

Now, if you go back to your assignments, you'll notice a highlighted area where you can submit your assignment. Before submitting, make sure to carefully read through all the directions and requirements. It's essential to check that you've completed everything before submitting to ensure you meet expectations.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask your instructor. They're there to help you succeed.
