This video will show you how to use the direct share feature on Canvas.

The direct share feature is a great way to share content to another course that you own or to share content with a colleague or group of colleagues without going through the Commons. To share a page, discussion, assignment, or quiz, you simply need to click on the ellipses at the end of the content and select 'Copy to'. Now I can select the course I would like to copy this content to. Now I select 'Copy' and I can find this content in the course that I chose. To send this directly to another colleague, I simply click on the ellipses and select 'Send to'. Here, I can choose one or more colleagues to send the content to. When I hit 'Send', the content will go to my colleague.

To find content that has been shared with you, you click on your picture on your Canvas dashboard and select 'Shared Content'. Here, you will see a list of content that has been shared with you. You can preview the content, import it into your course, or remove it from the list. To do this, I select the ellipses and choose what I'd like to do. To import into my course, I'll select 'Import'. Type the name of the course, select the course, select the module I would like for it to go to, and import.

The direct share feature is a great way to import content into another course that you are the teacher of or to share content with another teacher quickly.
