Synthetic Turf Management

To preserve the quality of the turf and provide a clean and healthy environment, the following are not allowed on synthetic turf fields:

  •  Baseball, softball, or track spikes are not permitted.
  • All footwear must be clean and free of dirt, mud, and other debris.
  • No chewing gum or tobacco products are allowed on the field.
  • No equipment may be secured to the turf or ground with a spike or a clamp that penetrates the turf or the fabric.
  • Tape, Paint, or other marking materials may not be used on the turf.
  • No vehicles are permitted on the turf.
  • No fireworks or ignited batons may be used in band performances.  Questions regarding similar items should be referred to the Athletics Specialist / Director.
  • Water is permissible; however, Gatorade and other colored drinks are not.
  • Food is not allowed.  This includes nuts, candy, sunflower seeds, and any other food items.
  • No pets of any kind.
  • No glass bottles or glass containers of any kind.
  • No playing golf.
  • No folding chairs or any other type of outdoor furniture.
  • No heaters of any kind allowed on the field without proper matting approved by the Athletic Department.
