You will learn about logging into the Chrome browser and the Chromebook. The Chrome browser can be logged into on any device that has the browser installed on it. Locate the app or program on your device, open it, and in the upper right corner, click the profile icon. Use your Knox County School's email address and password to access your account. Students who are using a device other than their school-issued Chromebooks can log into the Chrome browser of any device.

Once you are logged into Chrome, you will have access to your bookmarks, preferences, extensions, history, and other Chrome-specific data. Logging into a personal Google account on your work device may cause issues with other programs that rely on Google logins. It is recommended that you only log into your Knox County Schools Google account on your work device.

Most frequently, students will be logging into the Chrome browser through their Chromebooks. Logging into a Chromebook is very similar to logging into the browser because the Chromebook simply facilitates access to the internet through the Chrome browser. The Chromebook requires a Knox County Schools login in order to access any functionality of the device.

Once you have logged in, you will have access to your Google tools, such as Drive, Docs, and Slides. You will be automatically logged into the Chrome browser when you log in to a Chromebook. Explore Chrome and Chromebooks to consider how their use might enhance teaching and learning in your classroom.
