You will learn how to take screenshots and make recordings on a Chromebook. There may be times when you need to capture part or all of your Chromebook screen, or you may need to record part of the action happening on your screen or yourself. Chromebooks have tools to accomplish these things. Let's see how to use them on a Chromebook.
There are a couple of ways you can activate a screen capture. You can press the Control, Shift, and Show Windows button simultaneously to activate the screen capture tool, or in the lower right of your screen, you can open the Quick Settings menu and select Screen Capture. When screen capture is activated, you can make choices about what you want to include in your shot.
Let's see the screen capture tool in action. Okay, I've activated my Quick Settings and chosen Screen Capture. From here at the bottom, I can select what I want to do—either use a screenshot or a recording. I can choose whether I want a portion of the screen or the entire screen. Now I can capture what I'd like from my screen.
After the file has been created, whether it's a screenshot or recording, it will go directly to the Files area of the Chromebook. From there, you can rename it and organize it in a way that makes sense to you. Screen captures and recordings can be effective tools for sharing your work with others.
