In this video, you will see how to set your Mac permissions in order for your team's meeting to act appropriately. I have a team's meeting here set up as a test that we're going to use in just a moment. Before I get into this meeting, however, I am going to go ahead and check my camera and my microphone because these are the two main input systems that I will need to participate in a team's meeting.

I go up to my apple and go to system settings. Then I navigate to privacy and security. From here, I can look down the list and see that microphone and camera are listed here. I'm going to start with my microphone. This list gives me every app on my computer that has access to my microphone. And I can see here that sure enough, Microsoft Teams is turned off. I'm going to turn that on, and it's telling me that this change will not take effect until I have quit a Teams meeting that I may be in in the background and reopen it. While you're adjusting the settings for your microphone and camera, you may run into a roadblock. My microphone and camera are already set up, so I'm going to choose a different privacy or security feature to activate to show you what you might encounter as you try to make your changes. I'm just gonna get in here and okay, you might get a login screen like this that's basically set. I'm saying privacy and security is trying to modify your system settings. Enter your password to allow this. Basically, it's double checking to make sure that this is what you want to do.

I can enter my credentials here because I am an administrator. If you type in your credentials here and the screen shakes at you, that someone with advanced permissions needs to sign in to get through this roadblock for you. That could be someone at your building called an OSTR, or if you have a technician who is stationed in your building, that person could be helpful also. So, if you cannot  find a someone with password, now that's not a school administrator, you will need to use a feature within KCS self service. If you activate your computer's dock. You should see self service somewhere along the bottom. If you don't, go to your finder, go to applications, look through an alphabetical order, and you should find self service here. This again is for Mac users. Self-service allows you to download things onto your computer permissions. In this list, again, an alphabetical order, you will find a tool called Make Me Admin. So you're gonna click here. It might take it a moment to boot up. , .

This is the meeting reopening. I'm going to exit out. out. And I'm going to navigate back to my privacy and security list, and now go to camera. These are the items that have access to my max camera. And here we see Microsoft Teams is turned off. I'm going to toggle that on. I get the same message as before. I'm going to quit. And now it's prompting teams to open again in order to make the changes take place. I'm going to join the meeting. Ding. Now I can see that my microphone is available. I'm going to join now. And I can leave my mic on, or I can turn it off. I can do the same. Same thing with my camera, turn it on, or turn it off, because of the way my permissions are, permissions are set.

Now you should be prepared. Now you should be ready to interact in your team's meeting.
