Okay, in this video we're gonna learn how to record a video within your team's meeting.
So I am here in teams. We're getting ready to start the meet. And I'm gonna ask me to invite people, but we're just gonna focus on just us, cuz we're just worried about how to record. I get this list of different options up here at the top when I'm in a teams meeting as the organizer. So I have to be an organizer or a co-organizer for this just to work. So you can see here I am listed as the organizer. So under more actions, the very first option where the top is record and transcribe. So if I click record and transcribe, it's gonna ask me to start recording. I'm gonna go ahead and click start recording.
Now it's kind of interesting here. It's gonna let everyone know that they're being recorded. But over here to the top left is the only spot that you're gonna be able to see the meeting is being recorded. It's gonna give you a running time of how long the meeting's been going and that is, that is recording. Okay, now if at any point I wanted to go back and stop the recording. I go the same way that I got the recording. Right there to start it and I can click stop and I can continue the meeting but stop the recording from occurring. So if you are just wanting to record content and then at the end of the content you want to continue on the meeting but stop the recording you can do that as well.
Okay, so what I'm gonna do now is I'm gonna go ahead and click Stop recording. It's gonna confirm. And then it's gonna save the recording. It takes time depending on how long the recording is. It's gonna take it a minute before it's gonna land itself in a couple of different places. So the very first place is gonna land itself is in the chat. Now they're gonna be able to see this. The people that are within your team's meeting are gonna be able to see this recording, this that you have recorded Within the team's meeting. But there's a couple of different other places that we wanna be able to go to locate it.
So I can do a couple of things here. If I click the three dots, I can open and stream. Stream is the platform within the Microsoft Suite where videos are stored. So that is gonna be the ultimate place in which we can find this video that we just created. I can click get link and so I can copy that link and email it out or send it to people that I want to have it. Just a default setting is anybody that is in the meeting has access to it. If you want other people to have access to it, then you'll have to do a couple more steps. And then this will tell you how long the video is and if there's a problem with the video. So we're gonna go ahead and click open and stream. And there is the video. and you can see here we are in stream. Umm, there is the video that we just created. It's gonna let me know that this expires in 60 days. I'll review it and where it's located at. Again, I can share this. So up here at the top I click on Share. Get a share, copy the link. Umm, copy the link at the exact moment that you were just watching the video. But down here at the bottom is very important. It says Manage Access. I'm gonna go ahead and click on it. It's gonna bring up this pop-up window. Now, everybody that was in the meeting would be listed right here. Okay? But obviously I, only I was in the meeting. So I only have access to it if there were any groups.
So for example, sample. Umm, if it is a specific group like the EdTech Liaisons, all those people in that group may have access to the video, and then the links to the video are here. Now, I can give people access up here at the top right. It says grant access, and then I can type in their names, and then they'll have access. So, access to the video, or I can go to the links and copy those links if I wanted people to have the ability to access it or to edit the video. Okay, now let's say that you are not in the meeting and you want to have access to this, you can again go to the chat from this specific meeting or if I go to my email, I like to tell people to go operate out of their outlook. You can see if I click this applications tab up here in the topic again, the Microsoft suite of applications. But down here at the bottom right is stream. If I were to click stream. Then it's going to take me to my normal stream and I should see a list of videos that have been created through the Microsoft Teams chat because they're a short industry.
And that is how you access and record videos. Videos within Microsoft Teams. Krebs.
