To get to your account you'll want to be on the homepage of parent square and then on the Thank you. On the top right corner you will see your name. If you click on the drop down next to your name you'll see a button that says my account. When you select that you'll be taken to the current page that I'm on. From here you can go into edit account. And you can upload a profile picture. This is really helpful so that when you are communicating with students families they can see a photo attached with your name so they get to know you a little bit better.
Additionally there you'll also see your contact information. You want to make sure that that information is correct because that is how the district will contact you in the event of like school closures and things like that. If you set them to digest what that means is at the end of the evening usually around 6 p.m. You'll receive one email with all of the days happenings. If you leave it as instant whenever a post occurs that you are mentioned in or you're somehow associated with. You will get it instantly delivered to your email or you can turn those off as well. You cannot turn off messaging notifications and alert notifications as those are sent instantly in live time. Time.
Additionally, you may want to enable office hours. Office hours let people know when they can best reach you. When you turn on office hours, families can still contact you, but they will receive an alert that lets them know you're out of the office if it's during a time that you've selected to be out of the office.
Additionally, you can still contact them as well. It's just more of a disclaimer that lets them know those are not your typical office hours. So definitely take a minute to go ahead and customize some of your notification settings, upload a profile picture if you don't have one and if you want to turn on your office hours go ahead and set those up now.
