Have you ever replied to a parents comment on a parent square post and the parent let you know they weren't able to view your response? Here's why that might be happening.
After you've posted something on parent square, parents have the ability to comment if you'd turn on commenting features. Here's an example of one right here. Let's say you want to answer a parents question and provide some extra feedback to their comment. You'll want to reply to that parent. Do not click on this comment box right here. If you click on comment, it's actually just adding an additional comment to the post.
And remember, comments are only viewable to the teachers within the course and then the person that actually posted the comment. So instead, in order to reply to this comment in the text button right here. Once I hit reply, then I can go ahead and type in my message. And then hit reply again. And you'll see this little arrow right here. This shows a threaded response. If you're not seeing me s- arrows in your comment replies, that means parents aren't able to view your comments. So you want to make sure you're hitting that reply button and that you see that little arrow after letting you know that a parent is able to view the comment that you've given them.
So if you have any questions about that, reach out to edtechliaisons@knoxschools.org and we'd be happy to help you out.
