Hi everyone. Today I'm going to go over how you can create substitute plans and save them directly to your active panel. Now, this is going to be a great way to prepare your sub plans for a few reasons. First reason, it will be right into your locker, which means a substitute, even if they're not tech savvy, really has only two steps to get to that sub plan. They would click on the locker, and then click right on the sub plan. If they lose the sub plan, click out of the sub plan, can't find the sub plan. All they have to do is follow those two steps. Locker and click on the plan. So it's pretty like fail per Thank you for watching. The other thing that's great is once you take your sub plan template and you save that into your locker, you can edit this from anywhere. You can edit it from home. Let's say you were out sick. You thought you'd be back but you're still sick. You need another day. You can go right on at home. You can edit your sub plan and it is going to populate immediately onto your active panel as well. So again, Thank you. This is why I leave a general sub information binder and then I have my step by step plans. Also this plan is great because you can leave your general direction. Thanks for Alright, I'm here at my active panel and I'm ready to take the substitute plan and add it to the locker. First step is going to be to open Chromium. Locker Chromium. And that will open your panel internet browser. Then you will navigate to your Google Drive. Thanks for watching! Alright, now that your sub plan is open, there is one very crucial step that is absolutely necessary when you do this, when you save to your locker. So just make sure that you do not forget this step. Up in the top corner, you will click on these three dots and you will see that right now this is in desktop site. I am going to uncheck that check box so that this will open in the mobile version. Thank you for your attention. Instead of the desktop version. That again is essential for saving to your locker and your sub not needing a Google login. Once I have switched that by click on those three dots again, I'm going to confirm that this is no longer in desktop site. And then I'm going to click add to home screen. You can rename this file anything you want. And that is what your sub is going to see in your locker. That is what this will be labeled. I'm going to go ahead and leave this as is it just says sub google doc and add. Thank you so much for having me. And that's it. It's now in my locker. So let me close my internet locker and it is going to add to the last page. So you can see here it says sub google docs. If I hold this down, I can rearrange this. It's a little tricky to change pages. But you can rearrange this however Thank you. Now that the sub plan is there, when that substitute does come into Thank you. All they have to do is click on locker and the plan. We'll see you in the next one. Bye. Thanks for watching. I'm it will automatically open this sub plan up for them. I'll use the arrow to put that into full screen and all of those links and things that you have added in. And they will be able to click on and navigate to all those different items. So just for a quick example on this sample sub plan, I put a link to my morning announcement video. So I can go ahead and hyperlink over here to YouTube and I can now show that morning announcement. I also added a link Oh. For my ELA presentation. So as long as you put all of those links to the resources for your substitute, they'll be able to act. Thanks for watching! Thanks for watching! just like we did. If the sub accidentally closes or they lose the sub plan, they can't find it again. Yeah. Every time all they have to do is locker and sub plans. It's never going to get lost. They can always get back to it. So even substitutes that aren't super techie will always be able to find that plan and then, you know, get back to it and not, not have that freak out moment where they don't know how to get back to where they were. Also what's great about this is when you're at home and you need another day, you can always open this exact same document, edit, and it is going to populate on your panel. So this is great if you have that general substance, Thanks for watching, and I'll see you in the next video. Thanks for watching. Thank you. If you have any questions about this Thanks for watching! Please email me. My email is permethianatnoxschools.org and I truly am here to help and support you so please let me know if there's anything that I can help with. Alright! All right. Bye! Thank you! Thank you.

Why?
If you create a sub plan with Google Docs and save it to your Locker, it will not only be easily accessible to a sub, but you will also be able to edit it anytime from home. Add links to the plan so the sub can access all your materials in one place. By making the links viewable to anyone, it will not require a Google Login.
NOTE: Do not include sensitive information on the plan that is saved to the panel, since it will be displayed to the class. This is best for general directions and links. Sensitive information should be printed or left in a sub binder.
How?
